Using Google Alerts For Traffic

Google alerts can be used in many different ways. Here is a way where you can find out who is talking about any phrase or keyword you may want to target.

As soon as you set up an alert, you will be sent information relating to the phrase or keyword you put in as soon as google index’s it. This means you are getting targeted information from directly where people are talking about  your search phrase, directly  to your inbox.

If you want to be more specific in your results, put quotes around the keyword or phrase.

Once you find out where people are talking about your topic, you can interact and leave a trail back to your own website. This saves you so much wasted time in just posting to any forum, blog or discussion group.

No Smoke and Mirrors Here

I had a real good clear out the other day, I mean from my social media sites. I got so fed up of being bombarded with offers from “would be internet marketers” and reduced my facebook friends down from 1,900 to 65 people.

It’s amazing how many people offered to make me rich by buying their ebook or promoting their affiliate link to some top guru’s course. If these people were really interested in me then they would have known that I am already successful.

The bottom line is that most of the people who try to market themselves using social media sites, do it wrong. They try to force themselves onto people when they should be attracting people.

My advice to you is to get rid of all the people in your socia media circle of friends that use the words “internet marketing, work from home, make money online” as these are all no hopers who will clutter up your profile.
